Can my puncture be repaired?

Not every puncture can be repaired safely. We tell you honestly which one you have.

Usually repairable

  • A nail or screw in the central tread
  • A small, clean puncture in the repairable area
  • A tyre with plenty of tread and no structural damage

Needs replacing

  • Damage to the sidewall or shoulder
  • Splits, bulges or cuts in the rubber
  • A tyre that was driven on while flat
  • A previous repair too close to the new damage

Repairs follow the British Standard for tyre repair (BS AU 159). If a repair would not be safe or legal, we explain why and quote for a replacement instead.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you reach me with a flat tyre?

We give you an estimated arrival time when you call. It depends on traffic and where our vans are.

Can you repair my puncture, or will I need a new tyre?

If the damage is in the repairable central tread and the tyre is otherwise sound, we repair it. Sidewall damage, splits, bulges, or a tyre driven on while flat cannot be repaired safely, so we fit a replacement.

Are you available at night and at weekends?

Yes. We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.

Which areas do you cover?

Milton Keynes and Hemel Hempstead, plus nearby towns and villages. Use the postcode checker or call us to confirm.

Can I drive on a flat tyre to somewhere safer?

Only far enough to get out of danger, and as slowly as possible. Driving on a deflated tyre destroys the sidewall and can damage the wheel.

What if I do not have a spare wheel?

That is fine. We repair the tyre or fit a replacement on the spot.

Do you repair run-flat tyres?

Only in limited cases, and some manufacturers advise against it. We inspect the tyre and tell you honestly whether to repair or replace.

What size tyre do I need?

The size is printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16 91V. If you cannot find it, send us your registration and we will check.

What is the legal tyre tread depth in the UK?

The legal minimum for cars is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread. Many drivers change tyres earlier, around 3mm.

How do I pay?
